Day 1: Arrival in Spiti & Drive to Mane Yogma
After an early breakfast, begin your scenic drive from Manali into the heart of Spiti Valley. Cross the majestic Kunzum Pass, absorbing the changing landscapes and vegetation. Arrive at the village of Mane Yogma by evening for your first overnight stay.

Day 2: Acclimatization & Preparation in Mane Yogma
Focus on acclimatization and preparation. After arrival formalities and equipment distribution, receive a comprehensive briefing on the trek, local flora and fauna, and Spiti’s culture. In the evening, take a gentle acclimatization walk to Lhar Top.

Day 3: Trek to Dogsa Pasturelands
Begin your trek after breakfast. The 2-hour hike towards Dogsa offers stunning panoramic views of Spiti Valley and the deep Ong-Dang gorge. Set up camp at Dogsa, a unique nomadic pasture system, and later take an acclimatization walk towards the scenic Chu-Dolsa waterfall.

Day 4: Ascend to High Camp at Mane Tso
A steeper 2.5 to 3-hour hike today takes you along shepherd trails to the high camp at Mane Tso. After setting up camp and having lunch, go for an acclimatization walk to the “Thanka nakpo” (black sand area) to prepare your body for summit day.

Day 5: Summit Lengdi Zong Peak (5,012m) & Return to Dogsa
Summit Day! Start early with a light breakfast. The climb to the summit ridge is challenging, but the reward is a royal, wide-open feeling and majestic 360-degree views of the Western Himalayan range, dominated by peaks like Cho Cho Khang Nyilda. Descend back to your camp at Dogsa for the night.

Day 6: Return to Mane Yogma Village
After breakfast and breaking camp at Dogsa, trek back to the Mane Yogma base. Return your equipment, celebrate your achievement with a group photo, and enjoy a final night of bonfire and music in the mountains.

Day 7: Scenic Return Drive to Manali
Depart after breakfast for the drive back to Manali. Enjoy stops at iconic Spiti landmarks like the Chicham Bridge (Asia’s highest suspension bridge) and Ladarcha ground before concluding your journey with an evening drop-off in Manali.

  • Porterage: Charges for a personal porter or mule to carry your backpack.

REFUND OF COURSE CHARGES

  • The course charges refund policy of MIM is as under:
  • 25% deduction in case of cancellation with prior notice of more than 30 days.
  • 50% deduction in case of cancellation with prior notice between 30 to 15 days.
  • 100% forfeiture in case of cancellation with prior notice of less than 15 days.
  • In case of cancellation of seat by the Institute due to some unavoidable circumstances, 100% course fee will be refunded to the candidate.
