  • Day 1: Arrival and Drive to Chitkul
    Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Shimla to the picturesque village of Chitkul, your stop for the night.

  • Day 2: Drive to Kibber Village
    Continue your journey deeper into Spiti, driving from Chitkul to Kibber, one of the world’s highest motorable villages and the starting point of your trek.

  • Day 3: Trek to Kangmo Base Camp
    Begin your ascent on foot from Kibber. A 6-7 hour trek brings you to the Base Camp at approximately 4,785 meters (15,700 ft), where you’ll settle in for the next phase.

  • Day 4: Acclimatization at Base Camp
    A crucial rest day dedicated to acclimatization. Short, gentle hikes around the camp will help your body adapt to the high altitude, ensuring a safer summit push.

  • Day 5: Summit Day (5,974m) & Return to Base Camp
    The pinnacle of the expedition. Start early for a demanding 7-8 hour round trip to the summit. Celebrate your achievement atop Kangmo Peak before descending back to Base Camp for a well-earned rest.

  • Day 6: Buffer Day
    A strategically planned reserve day to account for any unforeseen delays due to weather or other factors, maximizing your chances of a successful summit.

  • Day 7: Trek to Kaza
    Bid farewell to the mountains and begin your return, trekking from Base Camp down to the sub-divisional headquarters of Kaza (4-5 hours).

  • Day 8: Drive Back to Shimla
    Conclude your expedition with a full-day drive (7-8 hours) from Kaza back to Shimla, filled with memories of an incredible achievement.

  • Accommodation: Homestays in Chitkul and Kaza; high-quality expedition tents on a sharing basis during the trek.

  • Transport: All road transfers as per itinerary (Shimla – Chitkul – Kibber – Kaza – Shimla).

  • Meals: All meals during the expedition (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, snacks, soup, and hot beverages). Meals during homestays in Chitkul and Kaza are also included.

  • Safety & Gear: Comprehensive safety kit including first aid, medical supplies, and oxygen cylinders. All necessary group climbing gear (ice axe, harness, carabiners, etc.) and camping equipment (tents, sleeping bags, kitchen/dining tent) are provided.

  • Expert Support: Experienced trek guide, Sherpa, cook, helper, and mules for carrying common expedition gear.

  • Permits: All required trekking permits, national park fees, peak booking charges, and garbage disposal fees.

  • Porter or mule charges for carrying personal luggage.

  • Meals during the road journeys.

  • Any kind of personal expenses, tips, or travel insurance.

  • Fitness & Difficulty: This is a difficult grade expedition. It demands excellent physical fitness, strong endurance, and prior high-altitude trekking experience (preferably above 4,500m). The challenge comes from the extreme altitude, steep climbs, and loose scree terrain.

  • Getting There: Shimla, the assembly point, is well-connected by road, rail, and air (nearest airport Jubbarhatti). From Shimla, the expedition transport will take you to the trailhead.

  • Best Time to Visit: The ideal windows are the Monsoon (July-August) for lush landscapes (with rain preparedness) and Autumn (September to Mid-November) for the clearest skies and most stable weather.
