Day 1-3: Arrival & Approach to the Mountain

Day 1: Arrive in Manali. Expedition briefing, gear check, and paperwork completion.

Day 2: Scenic drive from Manali to Kaza in Spiti Valley (8-10 hours).

Day 3: Drive from Kaza to the trailhead at Mane village (approx. 2 hours).
Day 4-6: Trek to Base Camp & Acclimatization

Day 4: Trek from Mane to the Transit Camp near Yang Tso (4-6 hours).

Day 5: Trek to the Base Camp (BC), establishing our main camp for the climb.

Day 6: Crucial acclimatization halt at Base Camp. Rest and short hikes to adapt to the altitude.
Day 7-14: The Climbing Phase: Establishing Camps & Summit Push

Day 7-9: Load ferry from Base Camp to establish Camp 1 (C1) at approx. 5,200m. This involves carrying gear up and returning to sleep at BC for acclimatization.

Day 10: Move up and occupy Camp 1.

Day 11: Load ferry from C1 to establish Camp 2 (C2) at approx. 5,600m, visible from the Manirang Pass.

Day 12: Move up and occupy Camp 2.

Day 13: Ascend from C2 to establish the high Summit Camp.

Day 14: SUMMIT DAY (6,593m). An early start for the technical climb over mixed rock and ice slopes to the summit. Celebrate, take in the 360-degree panorama, and descend to the Summit Camp.

Day 15: Reserve day for summit attempts in case of unfavorable weather.
Day 16-19: Descent & Departure

Day 16: Descend from high camps all the way back to Base Camp.

Day 17: Trek down to Mane village.

Day 18: Drive from Mane to Kaza, then continue to Manali by taxi.

Day 19: Expedition concludes after breakfast in Manali.

1. Booking, Payments & Cancellations

A non-refundable deposit (typically 50% of the expedition cost) is required to confirm your booking.

The full balance payment must be settled no later than 60 days before the expedition start date.

Cancellation by the Climber:
-
More than 60 days before departure: Loss of deposit.
-
Between 60 and 30 days before departure: 50% of the total expedition cost forfeited.
-
Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of the total expedition cost forfeited.

Expedition Cost: The advertised price is for a join-in-group expedition and is based on a minimum number of confirmed participants. Nizerspiti reserves the right to cancel the expedition if the minimum group size is not met, in which case a full refund will be issued.
2. Participant Requirements & Acknowledgment of Risk

Mandatory Declaration & Fitness: You must complete a detailed medical questionnaire and declaration of experience. Participation requires excellent physical fitness and prior high-altitude trekking or mountaineering experience (preferably above 5,000m). Nizerspiti may request a doctor’s certificate and has the right to refuse a participant deemed unfit.

Mandatory Insurance: You must obtain comprehensive travel and mountaineering-specific insurance covering emergency medical evacuation from high altitude (up to 7,000m), trip cancellation, and repatriation. Proof of valid insurance must be provided before the trek.

Inherent Risks & Assumption of Liability: You acknowledge that climbing a 6,593m peak involves inherent and serious risks, including but not limited to avalanches, falls, rockfall, extreme weather, altitude sickness (HAPE/HACE), and other hazards that can lead to injury, permanent disability, or death. You participate at your own risk.
3. Expedition Conduct & Guide Authority

Guide’s Final Authority: The Expedition Leader has absolute and final authority on all matters regarding safety, conduct, and itinerary. This includes the right to:

Alter or shorten the route, climbing schedule, or summit plan due to weather, snow conditions, or team safety.

Disqualify any participant at any time if their behavior, fitness, or health jeopardizes the safety or progress of the team or themselves, without any refund.

Itinerary as a Framework: The published itinerary is a guideline. The summit attempt and daily plans are subject to change based on weather, snow conditions, and the group’s acclimatization.
4. Logistics, Permits & Exclusions

Government Fees: The expedition cost excludes mandatory IMF Permission, Peak Royalty, and Registration fees, as well as any Liaison Officer costs (for foreign expeditions). These are the climber’s responsibility, though Nizerspiti will assist with the application process.

Personal Gear: All personal climbing equipment (harness, ice axe, crampons, climbing boots, etc.) is the responsibility of the climber. A detailed gear list will be provided.

Unforeseen Delays: Nizerspiti is not liable for additional costs incurred due to flight cancellations, roadblocks, landslides, or any other force majeure events before, during, or after the expedition.
5. Environmental & Cultural Responsibility

You agree to follow strict Leave No Trace principles. All waste must be carried down from the mountain.

You agree to show respect for local customs, cultures, and religious sites.
6. Force Majeure

Nizerspiti is not liable for failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (“force majeure”), including but not limited to natural disasters, war, strikes, or government travel advisories that prevent the expedition from proceeding. In such cases, we will strive to offer a credit for a future expedition, but a cash refund may not be possible.
